Services
CMI Publishing is a successful publishing company that is currently serving the tourism industry of western Canada.
We take the project from concept to market or you can choose which service[s] you need.
In 2010 CMI Publishing acquired the publishing rights for an annual known as The Jasper Map. This is an orientation guide for visitors to Jasper, Alberta. We print and distribute 100,000 copies of The Jasper Map each year.
We are now looking to add to our family of fine tourism publications. If you have a good idea for a visitor guide, in hard copy and/or in digital format, we’d be pleased to discuss it with you.
From 1997 to 2005 CMI Publishing partnered with Parks Canada to produce their official visitors guide to the six mountain national parks, known as The Mountain Guide. This partnership allowed Parks to focus on their human resources on creating content while we obtained financial support from the private sector. The project became self sufficient and sustainable immediately and saved Canadian taxpayers $1,000,000 over the term of the agreement.
If your organization is in the tourism industry but not the publishing business, partner with us to lessen the load on you and your team. As your publishing partner, CMI Publishing recognizes that the quality of our work is not only a reflection on ourselves, but the organizations we represent. Our commitment to excellence would be a vital part of our relationship with you. Put our experience to work for you.
In the past 18 years CMI Publishing has provided advertising sales support to several publishers. In addition to soliciting media buys, we design media kits, accept artwork, assist small advertisers with the creation of their marketing message, prepare invoices, collect revenues and disperse funds, provide counsel regarding page size, paper stock, ad grid and rates and obtain print quotes.
If you need advertising sales support for your tourism publication, let’s talk about ways in which we can help you increase your bottom line.
CMI Publishing have the distribution team in place to be able to assist clients with the effective circulation of their visitor guides. We have fabricated more than 250 metal display racks. They are strategically positioned to effectively reach local and international travellers within the region. These racks are just one component of our full network of distribution outlets.
With gas prices, shipping & freight costs all increasing, publishers are being squeezed. If you’re looking for an affordable way to get your guide into the hands of travellers in western Canada, call us for a quote.
In need of new support materials? Whether it is 4” by 9” two-sided rack cards or tri-fold glossy brochures, let CMI Publishing help you design your marketing message and broker the print job for you.
Because we print more than 500,000 copies of visitor guides each year, we have some influence with our printer and we know their limitations. Commercial printers tend to specialize based on the equipment they have in-house. Pricing changes from time to time and from job to job. Let CMI Publishing carefully shepherd your project from concept to delivery.
Do you need help in creating effective marketing materials? Are you struggling to compose a compelling story about your business or community? Over the years, CMI Publishing have authored and commissioned numerous travel stories that we have published in our own travel guides. Along the way, we have helped hundreds of clients create marketing messages that have appeared in our publications. Put our team of writers to work for you.
In addition to the marketing materials mentioned earlier, let us help you with your other printing needs – from business cards to posters, from mounted photographs to family tree books. If you have a printing need CMI Publishing can help with the design, layout, and print brokerage to ensure your project is completed on time and you are pleased with the results.
