Melissa Williamson
Melissa Williamson now lives in Hinton, AB, but she was born & raised in Broken Hill, NSW the remote outback of Australia, so she’s still getting used to Canadian winters! You may have heard of Broken Hill. It’s the home of the Royal Flying Doctor Service and the filming area for the movie “Mad Max”.
After arriving in Canada in 2015, Melissa started working with Travel Alberta as a Tourism Consultant for the Hinton Visitor Information Centre. She loves to chat with travellers about all there is to see and do in the area, so she jumped at the chance to develop and market the 2017 Hinton & Alberta Northern Rockies Visitor Guide.
Along the way, she’s developed & marketed “Hinton specific” merchandise such as wall & desktop calendars and postcards. Melissa is a keen photographer and uses her own series of local snapshots in creating unique local gifts. Indeed, CMI featured her “Wapiti” photographs in the Banff section of the 2016 edition of Experience the Mountain Parks.
We are delighted that Melissa has agreed to represent CMI in the Hinton/Jasper area. Her primary responsibilities will be to help with the distribution of The Jasper Map and promote our Self-Guided Coal Mine Tour Map.

However, a sales career was his ultimate calling. Over the years, Dan has sold a variety of products and services including, but not limited to, advertising, vacuum cleaners, industrial chemicals, and real estate. Actually this is where Bob (CMI’s publisher) and Dan’s paths first crossed almost 40 years ago. You see, they worked together at Century 21 in Saskatoon for several years!
